The Palas, the oldest and most architecturally impressive building of the Wartburg Castle, was the main building of the landgraves' castle. On a guided tour through the building, you can experience the beauty of the Romanesque architecture as well as the romantic paintings by Moritz von Schwind. The Palas adjoins the rooms of the museum, in which you can look at the exquisite Wartburg collection.
